for changing the antennas out, you just unscrew right?

Some of the guys on the Dodge Truck Forum were simply cutting their antennas back and screwing on a new tip to em'. They said it seemed to work fine. I guess as long as you're not in BFE you could pick up a local radio station with just a stub of the stock antenna. Personally, I don't listen to the raido or CD's when I'm driving, I like to listen to the engine.
