mine were close, but never melted anything. if they touched then i'm sure it would be a problem like these guys are saying.

dang! im trying to find a 03+rear bumper so i can buy the lip kit and shave the middle! part of the bumper...

03+ have lines for the r/t cut outs, I guess it depends on the paint job if you can see it.
