Hey i'm new here. I have an 03 Dodge Neon SE and i just recently put on dual exhaust. The muffler tips are touching the plastic of my original bumper, and i don't want to ruin the bumper in case i have to sell. So i was wandering whether or not the tips will melt the plastic on the back of my car. Thanks for your help!

 

if the tips touch the bumper the plastic will start melting, because of the heat of the exhaust fumes heats the exhaust tips and then melting the plastic on the bumper

loosen the clamps and move it if that doesnt work use a torque amplifier to bend the tips down

 

yea basicly like that no big mods

 

If you're lazy, you could use heat tape? lol

 

bend the hangers...

 

same thing happened to me...and still is. it only melted off a hairsize peice of paint above each tip. you can only see it when your under the car.
