Default problem need some help, idle sticking

Alright this mornin on my way to work i speed up to pass a car drivin slow.. and when i do i slow down and hear my car idleing at 2000 rpms... and it doesn't want to go down.. i still had about 5 min to drive to work and it still did it when i did get to work... anybody know what it is??????

first thing i would do is inspect my thottle body then clean it with TB cleaner.

thanks... but the weirdest thing.... i was driving back home after work when all of a sudden it went back down to 1000rpms... weird.. it hasnt done it since

clean the throttle body.... check the spring on the thottle body..... it would be bay if if got stuck at WOT

Off topic, but about 4 years ago a mechanic at the shop I work at put the hose clamp on a thottle body facing the wrong direction. When the lady went WOT (it was a minivan) it hooked on the clamp and stuck, and instead of putting it in neutral or turning the key, she just took on the median and ended up getting stuck with the engine bouncing off the rev limiter untill the police arrived. That was expencive for the shop.[8D]

I never thought to do that

I had my throttle get stuck on my 95 sable, luckly I was in a parking lot. I never thought to shift, I just took off, and kept going, till it let goMy friend said I three wheeled it around a median. Scared the **** out of me and the car I almost hit.
