Default Projectors...

Whos got them? If you have them can you answer me a few questions...

What brand?
the Good?
the Bad?

One of the vendors on my forums is having a HID special with free shipping and i don't want to put HID's in a regular reflector style head lamp.

there are a couple of guys that like the MPx projectors, and they are running HID in them too.. Me really I'm trying to save up for the Retros that VAMP on SRT forum is selling.. 700 buck, but they are the real HID projectors... no fading.... The down side is that he only makes them from the 03-05 models... which means I need to get a new front end... my wife is going to kill me if I do that... LOL

that's my .02

stay away from Ebay ones...

another .01

LOL

I have them (03+) I don't know why they say to stay away from the ebay ones (which is where I bought mine)and buy them from Modern, because from what I have seen they are the same company that makes them. Anyway the good is that they attract a lot of attention, I have gotten many compliments on them. The output is better than stock from my experience. I'm not sure about HID because I just have the regular bulbs they came with.

The bad is that they are sort of a pain to align, and I noticed that when I am driving at night, the light they project seems to "bounce" a little bit. It looks like they are shaking when I go over rough roads. Not sure what else is bad though. Mine fogged up on me but went away pretty quick. I am more than likely going to go over the ends with silicone to seal em up properly.

not sure what the brand is, but the plastic cover says "Junyan"

i have them. they are all made by the same manufacturer so get the cheapest. but just if you are going to put hids in them, you will need to file down the part where the bulb goes through because hid h1 bulbs are slightly bigger than the regular h1 bulbs. and dont get blue lights because thats gay lol

To the others, thanks for the reviews. Appreciate more if there are any.

Sorry about that... Here is the link for you all... Like I said they are a bit pricey, but well worth it. His web site is www.byvampdesign.com, or you can click on this link to see the Retros.

I retrofitted my own, I probably should have just had someone else do them because they were a pain in the *** to do. I actually I have to adjust them some more because they're not perfect yet. I am running TSX projectors with stock OEM acura phillips bulbs. Which are plenty blue and they are only 4100k or 4300k I don't remember. All the 6, 8, 10, 12k hid kits are going to be super blue and purple. In my opinion they are all to high a number in color. Best light output is around 4300k.
