i actually think that the magnaflow won't fit the r/t cut outs either. The magnaflow I'm referring to is part no. 15801

yeah, but if you buy it from this vendor
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEON-...spagenameZWD1V
they'll adjust the exhaust tubing so that it'll fit the r/t... basically it's just custom tubing made with magnaflow muffler and tips... the only reason why i'll rather get it from them than muffler shop would be because they have mendral bent pipes, while the muffler shop here basically bend straight pipes with a machine which causes those wavy thing which might restrict airflow...

true, but then i'm looking at 250+ shipping (depending if it's just the muffler or catback) vs. 60 + for pick up which is about 20 miles away + cutting and welding... so i'll say 250+ vs. maybe 110+?
Does anyone know if the cutout for the r/t is wider or narrower than the srt rear section?
its narrower

it will sit up against it, but wont fit the cutouts. its fine, you can make your own cutouts if you want

spikeymikey, i already had one of it cut though... do you think it'll still fit by only cutting the other one? i was thinking so since the rear section is wider than the cutout, then it should be easier to just cut off a portion and then weld it together rather than have it narrower and having to extend it with pipes.

People have had their SRT-4 rear sections cut up so they can fit. It's a bit of a pain in the *** but a good muffler shop shouldn't have problems with it.

If you take it to that shop you told me about that made all that custom piping...I don't see why they'd have a problem with this

yeah, sounds good... i'm only worried there might be a tone change... i don't want it to sound like crap... how i wish i have srt cutouts now... i would've saved probably another 60 bucks for cutting it , oh well... proved that i love my neon that much enough lol...
