need some help on engine code 0700 and p0731 which is incorrect 1st gear ratio, my fuel gage goes up and down when accelerating and my speedometer doesnt work anymore. i replaced both the input and output speed sensors but still not working. went to the tranny shop and they said i need to replace my transmission for $2,600 , which i highly doubt since my car only has 46,000 miles on it. any suggestions on what i should do next?

 

Warenty on the powertrain is 7 yr 70k miles... atleast for me... pull up the warenty and have the dealer fix it

Lol! I bought mine used too. I still have an existing warrenty. if you bought it from a dealer then warrenty should be existing. look into it

 

i bought mine used and the dealer still fixed the tranny under warrenty..... who told you you have no warrenty seince the warrenty is transferable.... call a Dodge dealer, ask for the servive department, and have them run your vin number...... i had my tranny replaced twice by the dealer, once at 65,000 miles [/align]

it's up in the air, call a dealership's service dept and have them run the VIN and see if your warranty is still good

 

just called they told me it had 3yr/36,000 which is expired
