Default Dodge Neon Information

Hi everyone im new to the DOdge forum. My mom owned a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade 2wd and then the gas mileage was too bad and the payments on it were too high so we had to trade but since it wasnt paid for we had to trade for a Dodge or Chrysler and she seen a 2004 Dodge Neon SXT black and I was just wandering if they were good cars, what the gas mileage was and how they performed like passing power and any other information anyone can provide. Thanks.

They're pretty nice cars. I have one...haven't had any major problems with it. Mileage is good to excellent (some people don't get good mileage...but most do). As for passing power....take it for a test drive, you'll probably be surprised how peppy the little 2.0L is.

I am not sure about the passing gear for Automatics, but the manual, when you remeber to down shift(I forget sometimes I have to do that since I drove an auto my last 3 vehicles) it takes off pretty nice. It has good torque for the little car. so you will be happy with it.

I've got an ATX so I can vouch for the passing gear. Neons have some *****, not to mention they are so damn cool. And there is quite a bit of room for improvement. So, go for it.
