mustang vs neon?
Stock DSMs run high 15's stock. (GST model) An AWD GSX stock should pull a low 15. My SOHC 2nd gen ran high 15's with basic bolt-ons. although a FMIC is great upgrade for the tiny side mount that comes stock on a DSM, its still not that much of a power adder for those cars.
The look on there face i'm sure is great... probably the same look i used to get from the mustang GT guys. lol It fueled my lust for the "sleeper".

See...my gf doesn't get why I street race. She just doesn't understand...even though my car is stock I still have yet to loose. Sure, you might say I just haven't got a chance to race a fast car yet, true. haha. But its just the feeling of the look on their faces or how they feel. I really haven't gotten the chance to race too many times. I will never forget this kid(probably 21ish). I saw him in his firebird racing a guy at a light. The guy looked liked a casual car but it was a tie. So I pull up and hes got his girlfriend in the passenger seat. He guns it and I put into 3rd at 35mph(I don't know what I was thinking). I was still pulling him. The look on his face was priceless. If I would have raced that mustang...that would have been better!

A GS-T is capable of 15.1 to 14.9 with a good driver. The GSX (AWD) is about the same driver depending, but slower up top with the added drivetrain weight. That eclipse owner had all these gauges and such, and i still pulled about half a car from a 40 mph roll and again around 15 mph up to about 117. Late night on clear roads. He did not want to talk, but i wanted to know what shape the car was in. I still gave him a thumbs up and headed home. The day I got my Mopar pcm in the mail, I tested it that night. Ran a 98 GT a and lost by 2.5 cars at 115. Bogged the hell outta the launch and kept within 1 car length, but he pulled something fierce around 80+. His passenger asked what I had. Good to get asked that when you loose
My mods: Iceman, atx tb, af/x udp, MP PCM, ebay equal length header, dohc muffler, ebay sts and suspension stuff. This is in a 96 with dohc head on a sohc block.

So you are indirectly telling me you run mid 14's in your 1st gen? If not your numbers do not match up... Not only have i been around DSMs longer than neons, i know my way around one. A GST is a 2700lb car with only 190hp. Motor Trend was only able to pull a 15.9 out of a GST. Never mind most of my friends never saw below15.7ish.
you ever dyno or time slip your first gen? I'd love to see the numbers if you say it beats "14 second" cars.
