JUst one question
95-99 come with DOHC and SOHC
and 2000-2004 only the SOHC
WHY???
the SOHC is better?
I think the 420A is better, but I dont know
WHAT DOYOU THINK PEOPLE???

The 420a is a mitsubishi motor found in the non-turbo eclipse, not neons... you bought the wrong car dude.

Company Name: Engine size = engine code

Mitsubishi (DSM) Engine code: 2.0L DOHC = 420A
Mitsubishi (DSM) Engine code: 2.0L DOHC Turbo = 4G63
Mitsubishi (DSM) Engine code: 2.4L DOHC = 4G64
Chrysler Engine code: 2.0L DOHC = ECC
Chrysler Engine code: 2.0L SOHC = ECB
Chrysler Engine code: 2.0L SOHC Magnum = ECH
Chrysler Engine code: 2.4L DOHC N/A = EDZ

Neither one is really better than the other, the DOHC puts out a little more power, but it is mostly just personal preference.

I 100% agree with that statement. I would also like to add... Do not underestimate the SOHC.
