Default making srt exhaust quiet

so we all know an srt exhaust without the midpipe wich has two resonators sounds like crap, but even with the midpipe it still soundss loud, any ideas how to make it quieter? maybe adding another resonator or glasspack? i also notice the louder it sounds the more gas ur using but anyway ur opinions?

your philosophy about "the louder it is the more fuel you use" is wrong. you're engine is essentially doing the same thing whether muffled or not. but a glasspack will quiet it down. it's your best bet.

EDIT: when I had my SRT pipe on I noticed it idled around 600-650 when warmed up, it idled 800-900 with the stock exhaust on it thus using up more fuel muffled. and the only reason you use up more fuel is due to romping on the gas to 'show off' and make people turn heads.

not saying that havin the srt exhaust makes u use up more gas, just sayin that the loud noise helps u figuere out how hard ur steppin on the gas at least until u reach 50, either way it is still loud, i like the look but im starting to hate the noise

i was running just the rear section of the srt exuast and i loved it.. people always thought i was a srt-4 all the time...buta glasspack would do the trick to make it quieter...
opinion, but try puttin it on first to see if you like it or not...

take the resonators kout and welg a glasspack instead:

SRT-4 rear section on a SXT - LOUD! No Muffler... Sounds like ***!

Solved by installing a cherry bomb glasspack in the mid-pipe...

glasspack install on a SXT Part number in video...

Much better now!! SRT-4 rear section w/glasspack idle and rev (warmed up)

(I don't know how many times i've posted these damn vids on this site!? [:@] )

You could go to a muffler shop and see if they could find a chambered muffer that could take place of a resonator and that will really quiet your exhuast down if they could find one to fit under the car. If you want to tone it down a little than just install the glasspack like stated above.

seen those vids a couple times, but........ still kind of loud for my taste, if a glasspack wil quiet it down more than the resonators i still have my sxt midpipe around
