Default tranny change

k so need to change the tranny in the 2000, what is the required tools and stuff needed and an approx time to do it
its and atx lol

Have fun with that if you dont have any experience or a lift. because I think the car has to be lifted

yeah..... its not that bad if you have a cherry picker and a good floor jack. The car needs to go way up... more then a jack stand... and a jack stand is bad cause you have to convince the tranny to come out.... then put a floor jack under the tranny, strap it too the floor jack, then lower it. you dont need any out of the ordinary tools though.... and when reassembling make ture to get the tourque converter back in right or the tranny will be locked up! i have experience, i had to replace mine in my 1st gen twice, i could do that one in under 4hrs in and out.
has anyone had to replace theres on here?

I've done a clutch on my old '03 and replaced the tranny in my '03 using jackstands. No lift required or any height higher than a jack stands. No cherry picker needed also...

Just be aware of what you are taking apart and remember how it goes back. Take pictures if need be. I've done mine in a little less than 4 hours, but 4 hours is a good estimate.

thanks much, does anybody have any idea of what sockets and wrench sizes imma need so i dont hafta waste time looking for them

i suggest investing in a tool kit... tool organization is the first step to a good mechanic.
