Default Kumho tire question

I went to get my inspection sticker today and the guy noticed that my tire had a small slash on the sidewall. I'm thinking about getting brand new tires all around, i have 17" wheels and have done the search but everyone recommends different things. I am almost positive I'll be getting Kumho brand tires. I need all season, which do you recommend and what size? Thanks guys!

For the tire size, 215-40-17 if available, otherwise, stick with the 205-40-17's. As for the Khumo tires, they're a good brand, but I've always preferred my Toyo Proxes 4's.

you should get 215-45-17. You have aftermarket struts that can see in you sig so you would be able to clear the strut perch. 215 provides better grip too

neon03, what the heck are these "inspections" people keep posting about on here?
Is this from the state yer in? What state is this?

I've never had a car "inspected" to get some sticker....never even had to do those stupid exhaust tests like I hear about in calif.

need to know what state this is so's I don't make any plans to move there....

nice! thanks guys

as for the inspection in Texas your car has to be inspected in order for you to operate the vehicle legally. I know some states don't do any testing of any kind but here they do. They checked my window tint, tires, brakes, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, hazards, and emissions. They also passed a new law, if your CEL is on it's an automatic fail. I passed but the guy had warned me about the tire.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WONDERING IF THE 02 SENSOR NON FOULER WORKS, I PASSED THE EMISSIONS TEST NO PROBLEMS (i'mprettysure my catalytic converter is crap)I HAVE BEEN RUNNING IT FOR A WHILE NOW, AND STILL NO CEL (knock on wood).
