pulseating prob continues

Default pulseating prob continues

my 01 plym neon has a pulsating shake at idle,i replaced the idle air control valve,didnt work is there any other common problems that neons have with pulsating engines?

Try resetting the PCM. It could still be in limp mode because of the bad sensor.

whats the pcm? and how would i reset it?...and if this isnt the prob,would reseting it mess it up?

PCM = Power Control Module also known as the computer.

To reset it disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 minutes to an hour or more. That will reset it. And no, resetting it will not mess anythign up you'll be fine.

The pcm is the neon's computer. Just disconnect your battery for a couple of hours and that will reset it. No, it won't hurt anything.

if you have an aftermarket alarm, keep your head away from the siren when reconnecting, TRUST ME it hurts, my ears were ringing for about 2 hours when I forgot

Those alarms will get you every time, I think valet mode will fix that problem, but I could be wrong.
