RE: Show me your BASS!
well, my pics sorta relate. due to winter my fiberglass project for the neon is on hold. as you look into the trunk, there will be 1 alpipne type-r 10" reverse mounted in the middle, hifonics brutus bx1605d to run it and another hifonics 4 channel for interiors, mounted on either side of the alpine.it will actually be 3 seperate pieces made from mdf withjust a cover piece (making it look like one big box) out of fiberglass.if only it was warmer or i had a heated garage. i also just placed an order for 3 gallons of the liquid deadener from second skin to coat the trunk inside twice and outside once.
here are my last 2 systems. unfortunately i lost the pics of my previous systems when i had a hard drive die on me.
this was was in a 01 suzuki grand vitara. 2 jl 10w0, audiobahn 2 channel bridged down to mono, 200rms per sub. it hit just over 141db. the boxes were made of 3/4 mdf, tuned and ported to just a bit over the jl specs. a small trim piece was in the middle (with neons on either side that it covered) and i had a laser cut piece of acrylic cut to cover them with the jl and suzuki logos. these pics don't show the acrylic piece, but it is posted at the bottom.
this is the setup in my other current car, 04 jaguar x-type. same subs and amp but this time i made some custom fiberglass enclosures for them and had them wrapped to match the leather interior. they are easily removable, and i still have full access to the spare if need be. i can also still fit 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk which is always important.
