what kind of head is the same as my 04 sxt or can fit on it. i will prob get one port and polish it and get teh modern performance kit for it because guess who thinks he has a blown head gasket...oo oo i know i might as well do the top end rebuild now

 

That sucks, ummm...... u could go with an rt magnum head, or just go with an origanal stock sxt or se head..... and the heads from the first gen are accually the same exept the egr needs to be blocked off....(that is what i did) as for a port and polish, i had a guy that had done ALOT of them, and did not charge me much at all to do them, so i am not sure where to have to go with a p&p..... Yeah any 2000+ cylinder head will work...hell, even the 1st Gen SOHC will "technically" work too[8D]. As for you port and polishing yourself, well, I think theres just some things that should be left to the pro's.

 

yeah, porting and polishing is not really that hard to do, i watched the guy to mine(one of the ports, and the hardest thing was to get everthing to match.... but it is alot of work also.... kinda like polishing an intake manifold, lol

 

I never said the actual process was difficult, just that the pro's should do it.

 

i decided not to redo a head now anyway becaus if i do break anything with the turbo, i dont want to ruin a nice new head...

Thats awful too such a nice lookin sxt well with the new turbo and head you dont have to worry about that anymore. Good luck with the turbo project if its anybody that can do it its you mikey.

 

OUCH, just say u have a smoke screen kit on ur car..... the button is jammed so u can not turn it off and it always does that.....lol, good luck mikey
