Does any1 know where i can buy a led 3rd brake light? I know they are being made because i saw one on ebay a month ago.

 

apc makes them--i ordered them from a local store who sells them and a lot of other aftermarket stuff. i actually still have 1 bulb left if you want to pay for it + shipping--it's a clear led bulb but it shines RED it's quite awesome!

can fidn the stock ones on ebay or junk yards, could also go fora clear lens one, on ebay and modernperformance.com

 

I think he's looking for ..not just a replacement LED for the single bulb, but like a long line of LEDs that would replace the whole lens (?)..maybe (?)
interesting, but I've never seen one...

here's what I did, not a great quality video, but I just took apart the unit, didn't even remove the bulb, but siliconed an LED scanner to the inside of the stock lens and wired it in instead of the bulb...

that does look like a lot of work... and no picture of what the thing looks like in the car when done...

seems like it would look cleaner with just one straight-single row of LEDs... heck, if yer gonna go thru with that many LED's (why 49?)...might as well arrange them so they spell out "NEON" or sumthin when they light up...

 

the only guy that was sellin em from the srt store turned out to be a scammer, still owes lots of money so only way to get ur hands on one is to find someone that has one(less likely) or make one urself
