Ebay intakes are fine. I had my cai from ebay on my car for along time now, I drive in snow rain and everything else without a care. I didnt even buy a KN Fliter Im using the stock ****ty one. I dont know why anyone would pay more then 50$ for a CAI for a sxt..... Just my two cents.

I'll post pics when I do it.

i live in michigan and i have an Ebay CAI with a K&N filter on it and it runs just fine.

although it comes with a little extension peice which i didnt use, i wasnt sure where it goes to, so i just have the main bent pipe. then to the filter

and it works just fine, even in the winters.

although i dont go through huge puddles and such when its cold/wet out.

ive had the CAI on now for about 1 year now, cause i put it on winter of 07. same with my exhaust and high-flow cat. so everything is nice and broken in now

The little extension peice goes inbetween your throttle body and your intake mani. It replaces the "accordian" looking peice. I would recommend putting it in, + 0.5hp. Ftw.

I know its hard to see the picture but its there, its in between those to blue couplings behind where the radiator hose is.

if it gets to 40 below i really don't think a CAI would help that much other than flow. I mean it's always good to get the air from outside the engine bay, but the stock intake system is already, technically, a CAI.

The coldest it gets here all year is mid 60's and thats at night. sucks to be you all. lol

Bet you have to pay extra to get parts shipped over there.

Depends how and where you shop... the neon forum over here is good about letting others know when free shipping deals are available. Other times we all buy from a company at the same time. It also helps that the owner of the site works (manager) at one of the biggest aftermarket stores on the island/state.

but for the most part you are right.
