Can't never have too many headlight threads eh?

I'm considering Halo's but, really, what I don't like about my headlights is the turn signal in the housing - car looks crosseyed IMO.

SO what I was thinking of doing is taking a set of 00-02 headlights, shaving off the turn signal housing part, and putting them in my 04. Then I can put in a set of LEDs or whatever into the grille openings for turnsignal lamps. I like subtle custom stuff.

I haven't had the opportunity to park beside an 00-02 to see if the headlights are the same 'shape'. It appears to me looking onlinethat hoods and fenders are common-ish from 00-05 so it comes down to if the curve of the fascia is the same around the bottom and inside of the headlight...

Anybody try this?

 

you will have gaps... they may look the same shape, but they are not.

 

they do make halo's for the 2003-2005 neons look on modern performance. If you want the whole custom look you would probly end up spending more than you want to.

Yeah that's what I thought - from what I can see, the outer lower curve looks 'tighter' on the 00-02 lights.

I'll just pick up the halos - I've yet to see a Neon out here with them.

 

you wouldnt really notice them during the day ,only at night when the halos GLOW.
