Default Engine Mounts Gone Bad

When I got an oil change a few days ago....I was told that my engine mounts upper and lower have gone bad. What problems can this cause for my car and I was looking at a Dodge Neon Repair Manual and can't find anything listed under engine mount....is that the same thing as Upper and lower torque strut?

please help. I hear a clicking noise when my car is on....coming from the lower part of the hood of my car...by the tire.

well, to check the neon engine mounts is pritty easy, all u have to do is grab onto the coil pack area...or head and pull and push on the engine.... if the engine moves u have to get new mounts if not then they would be ok, alittle play is normal, but not alot of play.....

but as far as having a broken engine mounts what are the effects and how does it affect the drivabilty of neon?

is it supposed to shake the vehicle as you are stopping at a red light?
- when im stopping at a stop sign or red light, my car shakes unless i put it in neutral. seems as if the idling is affected.

make the gas pedal stiff?
make the engine noisier?
