Default Rough Idle & Crankshaft noise

Well my motor has been runing rough lately and my motor started a knocking sound coming from the crankshaft. I did have my timing belt changed right before I noticed this problem....perhaps the mechanic didn't know what he was doing?

How do I get this fixed?

Can i do it myself or get a mechanic to do it?

Txt 703.598.3031 or reply here thanks!

before you do anything, take it back to the mechanic and have them look at it. if they want to charge you for diagnostics, threaten to throw a hissy fit infront of all the customers. you have to find out whats wrong, before you will know if you can DIY.

My idle has been **** lately too...I changed to V-power spark plugs & new wires...didn't make it any better

whats weird is that when i got an oil change they told me my engine mounts have gone bad as there was always a noise coming from the camshaft.

they never told me anything about the camshaft. once i changed the motor mount but it was still making the noise i did more reading about camshafts and does have a huge effect on the engine.

im shocked that they never noticed the camshaft because it is making a loud clicking noise. camshaft wobbles but ive been able to drive like this for months. i also changed the IAC and helped with the idle but still has rough idling.

should i replace the whole camshaft or just start with the basic first such as the bearing?
