Default Downshift

ok, so iv been driving, and lately when i start to slow down for stop signs and stuf, my car throws pretty hard for a downshift. now my question is. Has anyone had this problem and solved it. the only thing i can think of is checking the trans pan gasket. but if anyone knows tips for this, please tell me. Thanks!

sounds like a ATX, and it could be your tranny fluid is low, or one of the valves might be sticking.... not sure though... I drive a MTX
