I have have a 02 neon sxt. I was wondering if anyone would have a suggestions for what the fix is for code:
P0171 Sytem too rich off idle, bank 1
system too rich
???
car was in closed loop when code set
79 degrees celcius
740 rpm

not moving

I picked the car up from the body shop today and there is the light. There was only minor body damage on the car. no major repairs.all cosmetic. both front fenders and hood, a-pillar,roof and rear corner panel.all were small silver dollar size dents.

so what do you all think?????

 

reset your computer and see what happens. take the positive lead off the battery turminal and wait 10-15 mins the reconnect and see what happens

i reset the light last night before i left work. i let it idle for about 20 minutes and no light returned. i then drove 35 miles home and still no light...
so lets wait and see
