2001 Neon Brake HELP!
I am bamboozeled
2001 Neon, Left Rear Drum Brake problem.
The car in question had just recieved new Tires (just a bit overwidth)
Then it had some new rear brakes installed
Since then, the left rear, "at times" has "locked-up"
In an effort to fix the issue, I have done the following:
Swapped brake drums. OK for a while...
Turned the left rear brake drum. OK for a while...
Adjusted the brakes. OK for a while...
R & R'd the whole system. OK for a while...
The bearings are good and the E-Brake system is in working order.
The left rear cylinder has been replaced. All seems to be in good working order.
At first the problem only appeared while driving forward.
The quick fixwas to place it in reverse and it would release the brake...
Lately, it has only appeared while trying to drive in reverse.
And it does not "fix"it by driving forward.
I have done everything I know trying to fix this problem. Everyone I know seems to think they know how to fix the problem...
Please help me,
It is a moral imperative...
Thanks,
Gino
