Alright, first of this is my girlfriends car, so I'm trying to figure out what the problem is.

She has a 2002 Neon SXT, anyways, awhile back when you were stopped at a light or just started it up the engine would "shake" as if it wanted to stall. I figured her idle was just set low and nothing to worry about. Well now the cold weather is here, and it's been getting worse. Today she called me and told me her check engine light came on, and the car has been shaking almost non stop. I'm guessing changing the spark plugs and wires? I want to have the parts for her when she comes home today, however I know if we had time to just take it to an autozone and have them find the code for me.

Any suggestions would be great, I've read the other pages and know if I get plugs to go Champion.

yes at least do the spark plugs, i reccommend iridium tip. I put the denso spark plugs in and mine very rarely does it now, i might do one small one per week. You can get them at autozone however it will take a like a day to arrive. Wires i'm doing later. If anything make sure you get iridium

 

how cold has it been... check your fuel filter.. .might be clogged... bad fuel too...

 

fuel is good, and I just used Injector Cleaner in it.

 

Hopefully plugs. I had something similar going on recently and when I pulled the plugs, they wereterrible.
