Default Power Steering Fluid

Hi! I'm a newbie to this forum but I just wanted to share my Neon love. My black2000 Neon SEhas been through a lot in its seven years with me, from being broken in to in Philly to treking cross-country with me to California. She's a good little car and I adore her.

I recently was checking the fluids, and I saw that I'm low on power steering fluid. Can anyone recommend a good fluid?

Thanks!

I noticed the Wal-Mart up here is carrying Mopar ATF+3 . . . I never noticed that before. I was having to drive to the dealership to pick it up . . . have they always carried it?

The ATF+4 is in my Power Steering stock so I just replaced it with more of the same.

If yours spec +3 going to +4 won't hurt anything (Just better).

If you do a search for ATF+4, you will find that it is a proprietary fluid that dodge has just released the licensing on....so more 3rd party companies will start to have there brand of it on the shelf. Also Dodge says that ATF+4 is an upgraded version of ATF+3. You can use +4 in a +3 transmission......but never put +3 in a transmission that uses ATF+4. By the way Royal Purple Synchromax is the ATF+3 version, and Max ATF is the ATF+4 version.
