I'm a current GTO owner looking to downsize and buy a more economical car for the commute to my new job. I want a SRT-4 but I have some q's about the different model years. Obviously opinions are going to differ, I'm looking for the pros/cons of each. I appreciate all the info in advance and look forward to all the input.

04 is the best

Has LSD (03 model did not) and a less tricky computer than the 05

 

+1... wow i agree with him for once......

 

thats a first. i though i heard the 03's were a bit stronger and the tuned it down in 04 cus a lot of teenagers were killing themselves in these

 

no they reported less HP and TQ b/c of insurance rates lol the 04 and 05 were actually significantly higher in the HP and TQ area :-P

I was waiting for that.. I need something that won't drain my gas card. I used to work right around the corner from the house and now I'm driving to Dallas. Don't get me wrong, both have their ups and downs. I'm just watching my wallet yet trying to stay in a performance minded car. Thanks for all the info, is this side of the forum better than the SRT side for getting info? I posted the same on both sides and got more responses over here. Just wondering..
