Default Some new pictures of my neon

Done some work to the neon in the last week...thought I'd share some new pics of it.

Rollin low profile style. Nah...actually waiting for my wing.

Wiring up some guages.

My wiring job compeleted before I put the pillar back.

My guages lit up at night. I still have to hook the sensors up still. I didn't have all the right equipment to do so when I was working on them so I just did all the wiring inside the car.

New exterior shot with SRt wing.

Another angle.

Another one....almost looks like something doesn't it? Almost, but not quite.

Just one more pic of it.

Just to give you a hint, in case you have no idea what I'm doing.

Enjoy!

Sweet pix hunn!!! I love it with the SRT spoiler, looks sick! The gauges are tight too. What turbo you adding to it??

I do like the tails. One gripe, how far the tips stick out. Get an SRT exhaust looks/sounds sick

Yea...thats my only complaint on it too...plus the right side hangs a little lower. I still haven't ghetto rigged up anything to tuck that side up a little bit. It does sound sweet as hell though. I actually wanted the SRt exhaust....I don't remember why I didn't get one. I'm not set on which one yet....since I often buy things because I catch a good deal on something, but most likely would be a super 16g.

I have the same problem with my Pacesetter exhaust. Mine hangs a little lower on the left side than the right. I had my exhaust done on 2 separate jobs from 2 diff Midas locations. The first time, I welded my Pacesetter muffler to my stock cat-back system. The position of the mufflers tips looked nice after that job. Later I added my cat-back Pacesetter exhaust pipes to my Pacesetter muffler (that was previously welded to my stock system). Those 2 separate jobs didn't mix. Since the muffler was already welded to the tips they couldn't really adjust the position. I asked if they could adjust the hangers or just get a smaller hanger for my left side but they said they couldn't do it.
People hardly notice the position is off until I say something. It's harder to notice it from the back than the side/back of the car from far away. I'll live with it though.

Your car looks nice. I would like to see your pictures but I can't open them.

Let's talk about your rims. Are you going to get some other ones or keep those?

I had a 2001 Neon that i made the mistake of putting the POS Pacesetter on. Mine did the same thing. We were able to adjust the hangers and pipe position to get it to look halfway decent.

A mistake? That's funny.
My next car will have a Borla exhaust system.

Now I can see the pictures. Did you do the wiring yourself? Have you put your turbo system in yet?

Random question about the turbo for ya SXT. With the addition of the FMIC, though it appears to be the same size as the SRT FMIC, do you have to remove the front reinforcement? Just wondering. I know with the larger FMIC's on the SRT-4 the front reinforcement has to be removed....didn't know about your car?

Yes Sexy...that is a SRT front mount. Just by eyeing it down it looks like I can "fit" it in there. But one day here in the winter I'm going to actually take my bumper off and check fitment. I may indeed have to get a different bumper to make it fit, but I don't know at this moment. And no, I don't have a turbo system installed, I'm still stockpiling parts. And yes, I did indeed do the wiring with the help of my friend. Thanks for the nice comments.

Though so. The angle it was at made it a bit confusing. As I understand you'd have to do some major cutting to your front bumper to get it to fit. Thats what SRT guys have spoken of when doing the SRT -> SXT conversion. Its not just going to fit, you need to take sutff out to make it fit. You might try getting the Kaminari front bumper, or a turbo front bumper from Kaminari (i personally love their kits and workmanship). That way you wouldn't have to worry about hacking up your stock fascia. Keep stockpiling! And add a front bumper to that pile!
