i bought a superstreet mag the other day and as i was looking through it, there was an ad to get your car sponsored. the website is www.carsponsorship.com or something to that effect. anyway, i filled out the form but they wanted 135 bucks to join the club and all that. anyone hesrd of this? is it a scam or does anyone here belong to one of these. i am really interested since ive sunk about 5 grand into my car and my first car show is march first. a sponsorship will get me good deals on future purchases so any feedback is appreciated. thx.

 

i did one for getsponsored.net but i said no. They wanted around a hundred bucks, they give you 200 for each show you place, and 10% off certain companies. They didn't go with my speaker company or mopar so i turned them down

 

dont waste your money...... if any sponsorships asks you for money upfront then its a scam....

Go to local speedshops and tell them you need a sponsor. Some of them will give you discounts on parts and stuff and all you have to do is put a sticker on your car.

Just let airwolf chime in..... she will tell you she had many sponsorships.....

 

Your wrong I have a few done by myself . I got sponsored by speedhut for my custom flamed glo gauges and hvcc glo flamed overlay, also for some msd wires and for some other little things . I dont have a bunch planning on getting some more for this yrs shows. Car sponsorships .com didnt do much for me just some killerglass stuff and my sxt-4 banner . Was going to get fully sponsored for a evo5 body kit but backed out cause I didnt really like it . Actually they are crap and so is the other one . If you really wanna get sponsored make your ride a profile and send them out to what your lookin for . Never hurts to put your ride out there. You never know who might want to put there product on and in it.

 

thx for the input. it felt sorta weird having them ask me for money up front. ive sank about 2 grand into my ride at my local shop so maybe ill talk to him about it. hey ive already got his company logo as a windshield banner on my ride already!!! that deserves something.

 

My buddy tried Carsponsorships.com for his Cavalier, but it was a bunch of BS. They took his money, and never called him back. He yelled at them for three months, then I ended up calling the guys personal home, and threatening him before they gave buddy his money back.
