Default RE: fog light wiring

the only thing i would say is overloading that wire... i used to have my fogs wired into the parking lights and boy was that a problem! but hey if you have it working then i'd leave it just the way it is. but if something does go wrong (knock on wood) check that wire.

i have my fogs installed to a separate switch which i installed right near where the coin change is on the floor above the cup holders which is above the shifter unit. that way if i want my parking lights on and not my fog lights, i can do that. this will come especially in handy now that fogs will be HID's!!

wow no help and it was a wire that had worn through...all i asked is what wire does power go through for the fogs..OEM FOGS, in there from the factory...wasn't wiring anything or installing just testing wires and for those that asked about the fuse it was one of the first things i checked...

What's wrong with wiring them into your parking lights? I have my fogs wired up like that and my harness and lights are doing fine.
FOR NOW...i had done exactyl the same thing. eventually if overloads and fries your mfs wire harness. at least thats what happened to me. Now im driving around with no parking lights and my cluster wont light up anymore. Remeber half a$$ing things on a neon is like playing russian roulette.Sure you might have "fixed" one thing but how long before something else goes wrong

I just had the same thing happen... One of my wires had been routed by the radiator and it had worn through from rubbing... Glad I like working on cars, cause it's all I've been doing sinceI bought this damn car!

I got an 2005 neon and it does come with the factory fog lights, but no fog lights, when I turn the headlights on the fog light symbol comes on the dash and it wont go off, and I cant find any wiring behind the front bumper near the fog lights holes on the bumper. When I push in the fog light switch thats on the turn signal handle it will go off but when I let go of it, the light comes back on. I am afraid of installin new factory type fog lights because I wont be able to turn them off, and plus I cant find any wiring
