Default throttle problems

I got my 60mm throttle body today and installed it. now the cruise control cable is real tight and it idles at 1500 and 2000 rpm, it also sometimes will just start to stutter like it has hit the speed limiter, how can i fix this or can I just cut the cable and order another one to replace it?

trace the cable back into the firewall. you must have it kinked or tangles somewhere. If not you have to choose between your TB or CC.

Did you follow the CC cable back to the firewall?Only disable the CC as a last resort. If the CC connects to the new TB in the normal location than there shouldn't be any problems.

Trace it back... don't just look at it. take it off the TB and make sure its not twisted or kinked and trace it back with your hand. Its probably caught on something somewhere.

If there was nothing wrong with your other one... than a new one isn't gonna solve your problem.

wow i wish i had seen this earlier. you didnt have to cut the cc cable. all you had to do was adjust it in order to get it to work properly. iyou can adjust the ammount of cable by messing with the gray tab that you can pop off in order to give it some slack so its not so tight

man.you cut your cable? i was willing to bet 500 invisible dollars that you didnt install your tps sensor right. if they are off by just a little bit, they will cause that rpm fluctuation you are talking about.
