Supercharged Neons
I would say that installing a sc would be easier, But, since know makes "kits" for the neon then fabbing your own sc is gonna be harder. But, I am a turbo guy too, I just think they are way more bad ***.

Of course if you only need the power for a brief moment, like drag racing, then you can always just install an No2 kit. That'll give you the power of a turbo or SC but only when you want it. No2 is relitively easier to install then either Turbo or SC and the only thing that all three do is get more fuel/air into the motor so the effect is the same. Ever system has it's drawbacks. With No2 you could run out of juice, with SC you eat HP to make HP, with a turbo you have a more complicated system that needs to be piped from the exhaust side of the car to the intake side, not always easy especilly if you underhood room is limited.
supercharger i think the guy that did one of a first gen said it to 44 hp to get it to run.... (dont quote me on the 44, but i am pritty sure) anyway, superchargers have been done on neons, but i am not sure why u would want to go strickly sc, just to be different????? the problem with an sc is traction... but the guy that did the whole setup on his neon i BELIEVE SOLD THE SETUP..... he was not getting a ton of power out of it.... but like stated above it is preference of what u want...
my personal feelings is people have done turbos on neon, and if u ran into a question it is goin to be alot easier to find an answer....

I've never seen an NHRA top fuel car running a turbo, they all use blowers.

Possibly because the fuel they use is highly volitile and creates extremely hot exhaust gases that would destroy a turbo
