sounds like your trunk poper is always trying to open your trunk (using power).. try and locate the truck pop fuse and pull it and then see if the clicking stops!

Check the pushbutton switch in the glove box. If that checks out, the keylock in the trunk is also an electrical type, so you may want to check that. If the switches check out, you may have a short in one of the plugs or wiring harness itself.

You need to check the remotes and switches.

The trunk switch should have power to it on the BR/LB wire and ground on the BK wire. If the switch is shorted that is the problem. if it still pops with the switch disconnected then you either have short on the power wire to the switch or not the problem at all. Check voltage when it is out and if it drops off when it pops then you might have a short there. If that is OK then take the batteries out of your remotes and see if it stops. If so you have a problem there. You might disconnect the Remote Keyless Entry Module and see if it still fires if so you have a short to power on the wires to the solenoid.

Otherwise your Remote Keyless Entry Module is probably bad and is firing your trunk release solenoid.

RKE module is under the dash pad in the center.
