would it be worth it.....
just wondering if it would be worth the time and money...... i have a 2004 dodge neon sxt i want to get it alot faster.... i am having a hrad time finding turbos and such...... i was just thinking after seeing a srt-4 engine on ebay for 2000$ if it would be worth it buying that and replacing my engine with this........ the engine came with everything except a cooling unit... it had the tranny and all... and i know if i did this my sxt would be very fast because the sxt is lighter than the srt-4 and i would put on a new exhaust... but like i said is the work and cost going to be worth it in the end???
thanks,
nate

Depends on you...
Guy I worked with did one and from what I heard he had all kinds of minor problems that delayed final running plus ended with a HACKED UP wiring harness. You will need to get a new harness and computer as well. Engine/Trans will grow in weight so you may not gain as much as you'd expect but with time as a prerequisite you can do it.
A final thought though if you have emissions testing you'd still get tested by standard 4 Cyl.

I would be sceptical of a motor and trans for $2000. That is very cheap, especialy with the trans.

Anyway, I'd look at Hahns Racecraft and Chill Factory for turbos.
