i would also check the iac valve. +1. that controls your idle during warm up. you said you have this problem with one to two mins of driving right? check the iac valve. its on the throttlebody.

 

OK. I'm taking it in tomorrow morning(I broke a motor mount this weekend ) & having the dealership check all the sensors, so hopefully they'll find the problem.I checked/cleaned the IAC valve yesterday & the problem persists. Maybe I pulled a dumbass & didn't do it right? I popped the IAC off & sprayed carb cleaner all in it & the only thing it did was burn my skin & bog down when I tried to start it.

2004, don't tell me stuff like that! I blew my last car's tranny while going 70 down the highway. It sucked. I've decided that if I ever have to replace this car's tranny or when I decide to just do it(I'm thinking of turning this car into a homebrew SRT-4), I'm going with a manual b/c autos break too damn easily.

Check your throttle body screw...I have the same problem and I haven't fixed it either

The low idle doesn't seem to affect anything though.

 

^^^^^^^i have read that it's normal for the neon to do that. I could be wrong but a lot of people experience the same problem including myself. My car runs fine though

 

well it is just annoying, it only happens when i'm on the brake (complete stop after car is warmed up)in drive. It just shakes bad, rough idle.

 

check your oil too.... if your oil pressure drops below around 30psi at idle it starts to get rough and the idle drops....

 

Izero, no oil pressure gauge.

 

ouch... well then i'd say just check the oil level... low oil = low oil pressure thus causing rough idle and all that wonderful stuff

 

its not low, its over filled by about 1/2 a quart
