As far as protecting the tires, I saw someone stick index cards around the edge. The way the sit, they block the tire completeky.

man. when i painted my stocks on my grand am i thought i was the only ghetto one out there. brings back alot of memories. never heard of that index card trick. next time a buddy wants his rims done im gonna try that. probably works better than covering tires with newspaper.

i used to have a 89 f150 and i spray painted the factory steelies black, and put on a crome beauty ring and some crome lug nuts andbam! they looked just like off road rims. they never even chipped on me. i ended up using the rustolium enamel, which was supposed to keep them from rusting too!
