From what I've heard our stock SOHC exhaust manis are total crap for flow. I think the header will help out some, maybe 2 or 3 hp. JMHO, YMMV.

If anything buy a used Magnum exhaust manifold, basically the best performance your going to get out of a short tube header...

Hey guys.. i bought an R/T header last year in addition to the Exhaust.. is it worth while to throw it on? 2001 neon.. full srt4 exhaust and should i throw the header on or am i looking at too much work for too little gain?

And how hard are they to install? does the engine need to be moved or anything? Can i just unblot the old one and throw in the R/T (magnum?:S) header?

Thanks

I tried to use the MLS magnum gasket when i put one on my non-mag and it leaked. I bought a non-mag gasket and port matched it and it was fine after that. used a dremel with a rough sanding bit.

As far installing it... Disconnect the Cat and move the exhaust out of the way. Heat shield is a bitch, didn't even put it back on. All bolts can be reached from underneath or above. I suggest removing and installing the manifold from under the car. You may be able to get it out from above, but i was even going to try.
