I'm only in the Neon when I have to go really far, carry more than 1 person or it's raining.

DO A COOLANT FLUSH AT LEAST 1-2/YEAR
our radiators are aluminum and coolant corrodes aluminum. if you dont do it often, it will wear right through the barrier between your engine coolant and Trans fluid.... which is not a pretty thing to happen. trust me... my wallet will be hurting for awhile...

i have had a 2000 since newwith 95,000 or so on it and ive never changed my coolant. yanno, i just thought about it and this is the first car ive never changed the coolant on. weird. every other car ive owned i did it every few years. i swear if this is an omen, and that rad blows this summer, im gonna peg that thing to the floor and blow her sky high.

The only way coolant will corrode through your radiator is if you mix two different types or have the coolant incorrectly dilluded (as in pure coolant in the radiator). This stuff IS designed to only be serviced every (up to) five years or 100,000 miles.
