My friend Guy...thats his real name btw gave me an offer to trade my neon for his 300zx because he needs something more fuel efficent....They both have around the same milage body wise but last fall i helped him swap in a whole new motor with about 50k on it, its a non turbo, 5 speed, T-top, completly optioned out, heated mirrors, leather, cruise, you name it....its got a full exhaust, headers, intake, short shifter, interior neons, indiglow gauges...the only downfall is he sold the carbon hood over the winter so now it has the stock hood back... is it a fair trade? I think so

depends.....

1. heavy car, non turbod prolly pritty slow
2.not as good on gas
3. older car, things will break faster, even though the motor has 50k, the suspension and other components r more likly to break....
4. it is a good lookin car... hard to tell with the small pic put looks nice to me

i guess it just depends on what u r lookin for... how is ur shape of ur car??? does it need anything

I am looking for something different, I like the look of them n I don't really go fast...my car needs minor stuff that i need to stop being lazy n finish lol.... the gauges i just put in i need to fab up some type of plastic for the sides behind gauges, need to actually finish hooking 2 of them up I was gonna do the oil psi gauge today but its raining...i needs a new top dash part cause all 4 of the screw holes broke so its held in by 2 with washers....need to aim my low beams on my halos and its auto still lol

 

Yeah, how about the 300?? any major work need to be done to that??? it sounds like not a bad deal at all, but i would just make sure the tranny and every other BIG things r in great shape before u trade on the 300..... good luck and keep us posted on what u r goin to do

 

yea the 300 is fine other than a few rips in the leather n just minor paint fade in some spots but idk I'm so tossed up on what i wanna get its unreal!!

 

I bet u r.... the thing about a 300 is it is a two door, looks good, but if u ever drive alot of ur friends around or something, u might want to think twice... just a thought

 

they can walk lol n its a 4 seater....If i can i'm gonna try to get that 2 door 5 spd 1st gen from my neighboor n sell my car then i would be really happy lol build the hell out of it with the money from selling my car that would be awesome...i also have a short shifter n bushings i need to sell also

dont go with a 300zx that isn't twin turbo... it wont retain ANY value and it will just turn into a worthless POS in less than a year... trust me it wont be fun....
