18's aren't suggested but they are the max size you can put on without problems....

17's and 18's are fine any bigger would emphasize the rims way to much unless u have good all around mods to the body like some people do on this site.. especially neonon19's(sorry if i spelled it wrong)he has a sweet looking ride and he's still modding it out..

I have 18's and the ride quality is slightly compromised.
It's no biggie tho.

Thanks!!!

The ride isn't that bad, if you have a good suspension set up 19's = air suspension or coilovers... 17-18's can be done with lowering springs.... BTW even with the 19's and a good suspension you need to modify the fender wells (trimmed / rolled) 19x7.5 are a good setup with minimal modifications.... Now i'm at 19x8 and can't even drive right now w/o damaging my paint and tires... its a rubbin...... need to roll some more...

On a second note...

I think that the largest I have seen on a neon is 21"... but if i'm correct he/she did the suspension lift to make them fit...

yea for ride quality I would say 17's. 18's use a 35 series tire which is a rubber band. 17's use 40 series and are thin but not as bad. if you get a decent lip on a 17 from a distance it will look like an 18.
