I have the red prothane inserts on my motor mounts and Its awesome. I can take of the line without wheel hop, It only shakes a little and thats at very high speeds, like 90mph.

 

Wow... this is a slightly old thread.

The red motor mounts aka RACE motor mount inserts added a great deal of interior vibration. None to which doesnt make driving comfortable (infact I enjoy it). But, it does add quite a bit of vibration compared to stock.

 

yeah, it is old, i just wanted to share my experience. underground, if those inserts work for you, great, i mean, i'm not racing with my car, my neon is all stock, just for some visual changes. My reason for buying these mounts is to prolong the life of my engine mounts, since last time i change them was about six months ago, and the shop close down (if i would have known tha it was so easy to change, took me an hour) and i was looking for the street ones (black) but these is all they had at the moment. Freerider, My steering column was vibrating really bad, at first i tought that something else broke, but once i took out those inserts, the car was great.

 

ohhh and dont forget the washers..... thus why i have to take it all apart again...

 

I like the race inserts alot, I don't have that many mods but, The engine barely moves when its a WOT.

 

underground, your neon looks amazing. I didn't know that chrysler released the neon here in the US. How much did all the visual mods costed you?
