I just got mine new wheel package for my SRT-4, got no problem with that ride, but I wanted to mount the originalSRT-4 rims and wheels to the 04 SXT and ran into a problem. When I mounted the rear tire it didn't have the clearance that I needed..it rubbed to the rear strut..about 1/4 inch of it.
Anybody out there that ran into the same problem as I did? How did you deal with it? The SRT rim is stock w/ 205/50/17 tire. Maybe insert a wheel spacer? I don't want to change the tire, even though that will work..tires are expensive these days. Let me know what you all think. Thanks!
Yea if you get spaces make sure you use a spacer. I ran 40s wit my srt rims for along time and hated it. I just got a set of 45s. But, I also had to buy all new suspension. Get new suspension components and run 45s best thing you could do.
I tried that size of tire once too. It looks the best. But I went back to 40 series to get some gear ratio back. For the 50 series I put in a wheel spacer and flattened out that ridge on the rear strut.I wouldn't recommend it, but it worked.
