Did not read thru all the posts, but here is my $.02.

Good friend of mine that got me into neons owned a '05? scion TC for a while. Said it lacked the torque of his lightly modded r/t. For the cost of getting a new car, you could drop in a 2.4 with some serious cams and really rape about anything. mileage then would be my only concern. And I am working on that too! Having a boosted 2.4 neon with about 375whp getting 50 mpg. STAY TUNED...

It all depends on where you are, and your situation. You have a lt to "weigh out." Neons are going for next to nothing these days, so i plan on owing three, leaving one bone stock (wishful thinking) and going boost and big cams n/a. Whatever works for you though. There are a lot of modded Tc's popping up around here though. I am going 2.4L very soon, just to stay competitive.

well i was looking at the LP640 but i think i'm going with the roadster due to its unlimited headroom, but DTJ the vanquish is very spacious too. Anyways back on topic. If you do buy the tc or any new cari say keep the neon. Like when i hopefully buy my charger next year i plan on keeping the neon as a project car and a backup to the charger

Well I guess I will be getting a new car or truck before to long seeing my sxt might be having tranny problems might need a new one maybe. So she will be the 2nd ride and whatever ride I get will replace being my main ride. Husband says if I want a show ride to get a scion tc with the works with no miles . So I probably will be getting a 08 scion tc by summer.

While I do agree with a lot of what you say, there is deffinetely more to owning a car than just raping the **** out of every car that has less money invested. There's picking up girls, cruising, well built interiors, road noise...the list goes on. I personally am tired of the ****ty Neon interior, rattling **** and loud exhaust...just a total ecobox. Scion seems a lot more solid than the neon ever was. Granted they're slow as *****...they look good. (Although they are CHICK CARS UP THE ***)

Scions are more girly than Neons.
It's funny that u say that. Scions are girly cars. They're nice though.

For right now all we have is the sxt and a 96 neon and a 84 ford f250 truck and a dirt bike and a boat. We just have a huge yard that we use to store everything. More likely lookin into getting a scion tc with the works for my next show ride though .

I test drove one 2 yrs ago. I like the car. I like the XB. My only prob with the TC is I hit my head getting in and out the car. Thats a fun and fast sporty car.
