By this i am asking what width the rims should be. I just bought 4 205/40/17 tires because a person i know who lives 3 hours from me says that he will sell me his rims which has that size. But next thing you know, he stops calling and emailing me altogether so I am left with these tires.(what a bastard)I currently have stock 14" and want 17". So would 205 fit 6J? or 7J? Or what?

Or...would someone wanna buy my 4 tires? I will let you come pick it up for $200. They are Wanli Tires with ZR speed.

 

Im pretty sure 6 inchs. 205/40/17 is wat I was running my srt rims on. And Im pretty sure srt rims are 6 inchs wide.

Well dont go buying rims and then they dont fit cause I said so. Ha, I THINK Im right. And if I am right I dont THINK you can run any other widths, cause Ive heard of people running 215s on srt wheels.

When I had 205/40R17 sized tires on my neon, I had 17x7 rims. They were great, but Iended up selling them :-(

 

40 series tire is recomended for a 7 inch wide rims not 6. but i still run them on my srt rims, i have the same series on my srt4 rims and my kazera's

 

I just bought 205 45 17s for my srt rims.
