Where is the Pressure Steering Switch located?
I have a code P0551 which Autozone and the dodge forum said it is a pressure steering switch problem. But Autozone can't locate it on my car. I just want to ask a favor if you dont mind, show me a picture of a 00+ engine bay and have an arrow or something point to the P.S.S. I think all it is is i got to tighten it or something. Overall, the driving is fine.
I dont want to buy a whole book just for this problem so i want to know if anyone else knows first.
I also have a second code, which is:
P1684 Metering Oil Pump Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
But that shows up only like once a week, so i dont think that is a serious prob. AZ couldnt even pick that up. I just found that number when i did the 3X ignition method.

I got a similar problem... my CEL is on and the P0551 code is what shows up. Something about that Power steering pressure switch... I suppose all I gotta do is tighten it up? or replace it? Granted it doesn't affect performance any, but the CEL being on annoys me. What all should I do?

Well, I am not too sure what to do exactly because i haven't been able to locate where it is. But i am assuming that it isn't a big deal and that all we gotta do is maybe tighten it. But looking at the CEl is very annoying..
By the way, nice car. What size tires are those? They look really big on those rims. And did you do that mesh by yourself?

No, the yellow orange circular light is the check engine light. The dot is said to be the security system isn't active. That is the alarm system. Dodge dealerships are really retarded people because they don't know anything, but they "guessed" that its the alarm. And alot of people on ebay with neons also said that its the same thing, so it should be the alarm.

Thanks for the info.
Well my car is just about basic ,with the only option of a/c.
Which means my car doesn't have a security system, unless they were standard in which i highly doubt they are. hmm ill have to look into it......
Edit: you are right it is security, but that doesn't explain why mine is lit all the time.

Well, in fact, i have that red dot all the time too. I think all you gotta do is take out the cluster and just pull out the red dot light from behind. And that will take care of your problem.
Seeing that red dot along with the CEL is annoying as all hell.
