Actually when we bought tha car it had these eletric exhaust cutouts, but those arelong gone. they were replaced by performance headers, i would love to have it with no muffles but the thing is loud as it is, and the cops have a field day with it, but there is not a thing thatthey can do about it because its 43 years old and standards were different back then. just like how i don't have to wear a seatbelt.

 

who gives a **** about the cops just open the hood and tell them you cant help the noise its just how it is.... then grin and say have a nice day officer.... there is no emmissiions for older cars anyways Classic insurance baby!

Yeah they ducked when they heard it and just stared at me and my father, lol. They even came out of their houses and said wtf was that?

Dam i just noticed all the carbon build up in the muffler.

 

I've never heard of a muffler exploding. What type of muffler?

 

hmm, thats a good question, the previous owner put it on so god knows what it is.
Maybe it says the manufacturer on the other side of the muffler, all i know is that it says made in the usa.
I'll have to find out when we get it off, then i'll post it up here.

 

dat happened on my boys 355 ford pickup, damn dat was loud and it also happened in my 454 chevy c-20 and dat was ecen louder. crazy Shi* how it just explodes and it scares da pants off everyone

So i go the muffler off the car it seems to be unmarked, last owner was CHEAP!!!!!
