first i will give you a little background info...well my neon is f****d up...lol when i lock the doors the with the electric door locks on the inside, shut the door then unlock it with the key ( didnt come with a remote ) my anti-theft alarm comes on and the only way to turn it off is to turn the car on...funny thing is if i manually lock the doors then unlock with the key it doesnt happen...and now for my questions. anyone know why it does this other than the obviouse that i dont have the remote to unlock it...but it shouldnt do that anyways? last question is does anyone know how i can unhook the alarm...fuse or wire? i took the obviouse fuses out and they wouldnt let me use the electric door locks...help please!!!! lol

 

Look at your battery terminals and see what's getting power

 

there is a probably an 8 gauge wire comming from the "+" side of the battery through the fire wall and it did go all the way to the trunk grounded...i cut it but still didnt take it off the battery...could that be the probablem?

 

What year is your car? Your right like the title says that is weird. I never heard of that. Try asking the dealer for advice. If you dont get the right answer through here.

 

its a 03...if there is anyway i could take a fuse out or somehow by pass the damn thing i would be happy...cause its really annoying...lol

When I first bought my 96 Caravn, it was one of the first cars I had with power locks. But back then, the option didn't come with any kind of remote...it just had(has) the inside switches.
Right after I bought it, I had left the keys in it, I manually pulled up the lock **** (didn't even know I could open the door without doing that!)...got out, closed the door and the thing automatically lock the doors on me! ..luckily my wife had the other key on her

 

wow thats crazy man...but i know that this car had to of had a remote or else it wouldnt have the alarm right? i need to figure this out

 

wait.... you have a remote to lock your car but not to unlock it.... im fairly confused... have you tried pressing the same button again...... that will possibly turn the anti-theft system off.... post a pic of the remote you are talking about b/c im not really sure what the hell you are talkin about exactly lol :-P

 

He doesn't have a remote.. Hes just saying that hes pretty sure that the original owner (he didn't buy it brand new) must have had/lost the remote.. otherwise it wouldn't have an alarm in it..

I believe thats what he is saying!
