$3.41 the cheapest I saw here today. With three potential hurricanes ramping up out in the Atlantic right now, I could see our gas prices bouncing all over the place for the next month or so...

Yeah so can I. But all our oil doesn't come from the gulf, so why should it. Other then they want to take advantage of mother nature to pocket a bunch of extra money.

It's not just the oil that comes from the gulf... it's the potential damage that could occur to all the oil refineries and offshore rigs (theres a LOT of them) that would halt production and take $$$ to repair. Also keep in mind, that the oil tankers from the middle east can't get through the Gulf or the Atlantic that easy if there are hurricanes blowing like a sunnuvabitch. Things like that jack the price up $0.10 or $0.20 a gallon when supply/demand gets tight.

Yeah, I realize that. I'm basically just bitching about prices. And the fact that they have the tightest supply/demand curve on the face of this planet. And almost everything can effect the price of gas/oil.

Low and Iowa both of you are correct. Thats how it is they always looking for a reason to raise gas. I feel like keeping some gas cans full just in case. I have one I keep full for the lawnmower and the snow thrower.

I Pay $4.77 a gallon on the island of North Haven, ME. The gas comes by boat, and they will let you bring 10 gals. in cotainers on the ferry, but it costs $24 for a ticket for your vehicle.
