What are you guys adveraging per tank? How many miles? Have been doing some research on increasing mpg's by about 20%, but there are some other components in getting better mpg's.

 

Hi. I live in ukraine and drive car dodge neon 2001. Sorry for my english. i bad speak on him. But i have say, price for gasoline in Ukraine cost 3.7$ gallon. My income not more 600$ month. Any more people for Russia use electric cars, modified of conventional gasoline auto.

I'm pretty sure electric trucks with real towing power are pretty far off.

 

Lately I have been getting about 300-360 per tank. That is with filling up before the gas light comes on. I'd say about 60% of those miles were highway miles/cruise control. Gas around here last I saw is 2.63-2.70.

I'm about to embarrass myself by asking a dumb question-

I avoid ethanol like the plague, but does it REALLY matter where I get gas from? Is there a difference between the gas they sell at 7-11 & Wal-Mart and the gas at Sinclair & Shell? I ask because I've heard many conflicting things, and because I always sniff my gas(lolz) & I have noticed a difference in smells at different stations. Some people say you should only buy shell, philips 66, and sinclair gas while some people say it's all the same stuff. What's the deal?

 

The short answer is this: Unless you're buying premium, no, there isn't much difference. If you're just running 87 they're all very similar. If you want a longer answer, let me know.

 

yeah, a little more info would be great. when i was at autozone last week the employees were talking about how horrible 7-11 gas is, but its so cheap & id really love to be able to fill up there again lol...

Ghost- i average anywhere from 330-360 a tank, depending on how i drive & if i run the air.

 

Im paying $2.69 now at Shell.

 

Saw gas prices on the 4th from $2.43 to $2.49. Gas was low considering it was a major holiday and summer.

 

premium was at 3.07 when i went to work today, regular is i think 2.79 i think? i just look at premium wonding if i will aford to drive the neon this week or not, LOL
