grounding kit
hey everyone. i posted a while ago about a hyper grounding kit i saw on ebay. well, i did some research and found out they are crap. the right way to upgrade your grounding system is to use a high copper thread count to reduce resistance in the travel of current. well i bought and installed a good grounding kit today. costed me 50 bucks from a local motorsport shop and the product is made by LINEAGE. its four guage wire, 1,821 copper strands and the wire is sottered to the terminals that are dipped in platinum. there are five wires of different length and and get connected in series from chassis to alternator to head to block to battery to chassis. very clean setup. the best part is that i DID notice a difference with them. and no its not some placebo effect. although i didnt notice an increase in horsepower, my throttle response is better(that hesitation from a cai install is gone), headlights are brighter and dont dim at a stop with the stereo blasting, stereo sounds cleaner at higher volume, and the engine idles alot smoother. if you want these gains without worrying about hp increase, then you should try these out. just make sure the wire is a high copper thread count. and dont get those crappy 8 guage wire ebay setups. will definately post install pics with grounding locations tommorrow.

RE: grounding kit
i guess it does give a little more hp. but i think its mostly due to the fact than the throttle response is better and the engine is smoother so it hits bigger rpms faster. i should dyno my ride with and without the grounding kit to really see the difference. if i was to guess at hp increase, maybe the same as the cai mod gave me. 5-10 hp??
